What is AI for Designers: You Designers are Afraid of ML. Are We? about?
## AI for Designers You Designers are Afraid of ML. Are We? ### 2.1 Artificial Intelligence Meets Designers Who has a fear of machine learning (ML)? To comprehend this technology, designers must delve slightly into the weeds. There are three essentials. There are three algorithms for machine learning: supervised learning, unsupervised learning, and reinforcement learning. Let's begin by discussing each one in detail. ## Supervised learning Supervised learning requires a comprehensive set of labeled data (labeled data refer to data that have been tagged, thereby categorizing the data. Consider spreadsheets of data). These tagged data are examined by algorithms, which then learn from data patterns and generate predictions. It is the most widespread form of machine learning; thus, it merits serious examination. For problems involving classification and regression, researchers would employ supervised learning. Classification is used whenever we want algorithms to anticipate the discrete category or "class" that new data will fall into. Regression would be used to forecast algorithmic outputs connected to real-valued numbers. Let us start with a classification-based supervised learning
