This paper presents a novel approach for human activity recognition in video sequences using Category Feature Vectors (CFVs). CFVs group correlated features to represent activities flexibly and allow adding new activities. The approach also enables modeling unusual events with limited training data. Evaluation shows the CFV framework improves recognition accuracy and effectively handles new and unusual activities.
