The risk of failure increased steadily as the PSA nadir value increased and there was a steadily decreasing risk of failure with increasing time interval to achieving PSA nadir (Table ). The median PSA nadir for the entire group was 0.6 ng/ml (range 0.01 to 231 ng/ml), and the median time to nadir was 18 months (range 0 to 114 months).
