The Omron M3W upper arm blood pressure monitor was validated according to the European Society of Hypertension International Protocol revision 2010. 33 subjects were recruited from a general population and their blood pressure was measured by two observers and the Omron M3W device. The results showed that for systolic blood pressure 80% of measurements were within 5mmHg and 92% were within 10mmHg of the observers
