Three engineering students from E. G. S. Pillay Engineering College designed a prototype solar-powered street sweeping machine funded by The Institution of Engineers (India). Weighing around 10kg, the machine can clean both dust and hard particles from the ground using a 120 mAH rechargeable battery powered by a solar panel.
