7th European Conference on Coal Research and its Applications to be held at Cardiff University, Cardiff, Wales, UK. The conference will bring together researchers in universities with participants from industry who also carry out research or are interested in the application of research in industry. Papers are invited that describe applications in coal utilization and preparation with particular reference to the following areas: Improving efficiency and reducing emissions in conventional power generation, gasification, fluidized bed technology, CO 2 removal and storage technology, advanced power generation, modeling, sensors, instrumentation and control, emissions issues -including mercury, VOCs and fine particulates, co-firing of coal, particularly with biomass and wastes, carbonization and other metallurgical uses, coal preparation and handling, and other coal conversion processes.
