This study compared two sedation protocols for colonoscopy - ketamine-midazolam-propofol (KMP) and fentanyl-midazolam-propofol (FMP). 60 patients were randomly assigned to receive one of the two protocols. The study found that the total propofol consumption was significantly lower in the KMP group. Additionally, the procedure time was significantly shorter in the FMP group.
