What is Male Circumcision Reduces HIV Risk about?

This randomized controlled trial studied the effect of male circumcision on HIV infection risk among 3,274 uncircumcised men in South Africa. It found that the HIV infection rate was lower in the group that was circumcised (0.85 per 100 person-years) compared to the non-circumcised control group (2.1 per 100 person-years). This corresponds to around 60% protection against HIV from circumcision.
