About this document
Reactions of Acids, Bases, and Salts by Op bolte is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Acids react with metals to produce salts and hydrogen gas. Metals also react with bases, replacing hydrogen to form salts. When acids and bases react with each other, they neutralize to form salt and water through the reaction of hydrogen and hydroxide ions. Metal oxides react with acids to form salts and water, while non-metal oxides react with bases in the same way. Metal carbonates and hydrogen carbonates react with acids to produce salts, carbon dioxide gas, and water.
