What is Bossuet on Divine Kingship and Authority about?

Bossuet argues that all power comes from God and kings are chosen by God to rule as his representatives on Earth. Kings wield absolute power but must use it for justice and the will of God, not arbitrarily. While kings are divine, their power is borrowed from God and they must rule with humility. The document reflects the divine right of kings and religious basis of governance in Ancien Regime France.
