This paper presents a micromixer design for efficient continuous flow mixing in laminar flow regimes. The micromixer is made of a glass-silicon-glass sandwich structure with a total volume of 600 nL. It splits the flows of two liquids into 16 alternating thin laminae to decrease mixing times due to faster molecular diffusion across a smaller diffusion distance.
