About this document

Open Reduction With Internal Fixation of Mandibular Angle Fractures: A Retrospective Study by Rudnapon Amornlaksananon is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study retrospectively reviewed 78 patients treated for mandibular angle fractures to identify complication rates and variables affecting complications. The overall complication rate was 42.3%, with infections being most common. Older patients and those who had wisdom teeth extracted experienced more complications. Leaving wisdom teeth in place may reduce complications if there is no other indication for extraction.
