About this document

KPA to M/S Conversion and Flow Calculations by Aiman Izmin is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This document provides calculations to determine properties of mercury flowing through a pipe. It first calculates the density of mercury at room temperature to be 1.197 kg/m3. It then calculates the pressure at the throat and exit of the pipe based on the mercury density and height differences to be 0.66708 kPa and 0.33354 kPa, respectively. Finally, it uses the ideal gas law and isentropic flow equations to calculate the mass flow rate of mercury through the pipe to be 0.156236 kg/s.
