This document describes an experiment to determine the moisture content and phosphorus content of fertilizer samples using gravimetric analysis. Moisture content was determined by weighing samples before and after drying. Phosphorus content was determined by precipitating magnesium ammonium phosphate from a fertilizer solution and weighing the dried precipitate. The moisture content was found to be 1.2±0.9% and phosphorus content was found to be 8.3±0.4% P2O5 and 3.6±0.4% P, which was 21.7% lower than the t
