Protagoras vs. Euathlus: A Legal Paradox by Pathashala is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Protagoras, a teacher of rhetoric, sued his former student Euathlus for breach of contract after Euathlus did not pay the remainder of his tuition fees as agreed. Their contract stipulated that Euathlus would pay the second half of fees if he won a case, but he did not take any cases to avoid payment. Both argue that under the terms of the contract and potential rulings, Euathlus would either way be obligated or not obligated to pay. The jury postponed the case indefinitely due to this paradox.
