Students will play a game to learn about life in Ancient Rome during the Roman Republic. They will be randomly assigned a class and role and work in groups to research and learn about the different classes in Roman society, the government structure, daily life, and justice system. The game will culminate in a mock trial of Junius Brutus for the murder of Julius Caesar. Students will use tablets and computers to research during the game and record notes to demonstrate their understanding of the lesson object
