About this document
Ball Micrometer Applications and Uses by Mark Angelo Uy is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Ball micrometers have spherical anvils that allow measuring distances to rounded surfaces like tube wall thicknesses or holes near edges. They can measure non-tubular rounded surfaces unlike tube micrometers but may not fit in smaller tubes as easily. Ball micrometers with two balls can measure pitch diameters of screw threads or similar measurements requiring contact on both sides. Bore micrometers have three anvils, typically on a micrometer base, to accurately measure inside diameters. Blade micromete
