What is Aristotle about?

There are three main forms of government according to Aristotle: monarchy, aristocracy, and polity. Monarchy can devolve into tyranny when the ruler governs for their own interests rather than the people. Aristocracy can become oligarchy when the ruling class governs to benefit themselves rather than the people. Polity can become democracy when administrators are no longer elected by and for the people, but instead the government is controlled by the poor and ignorant.
