About this document
Gao2018 - DBE - Soot Reduction - Diesel Additive by nicobertero is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This study investigates the effects of dibutyl ether (DBE) addition to a biodiesel surrogate on soot formation in laminar coflow diffusion flames. Experimental results show that DBE can significantly reduce soot yield, with a nonlinear suppressive effect as the mole fraction of DBE increases. The reduction in soot is attributed to lower nucleation rates and decreased polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) condensation, particularly in the flame centerline.
