About this document

Types and Structure of Muscular Tissues by Абу Джуд is a document available to read on EtoBox.

There are three types of muscle tissues: skeletal, smooth, and cardiac. [1] Skeletal muscle fibers are long and multinucleated, formed from fused embryonic cells. Cardiac and smooth muscles are made of individual cells. [2] Skeletal muscle fibers contain repeating contractile units called sarcomeres made up of thick and thin filaments that cause striations. [3] Each skeletal muscle fiber is innervated by a motor neuron and surrounded by connective tissue sheaths that transmit contraction forces to tendons.
