What is Preparedness and Emergency Response Research Center (PERRC) Network about?

## Abstract The recently established Preparedness and Emergency Response Research centers (PERRCs) network is constituted by nine schools of public health in the United States and their consortium partners. Each PERRC has been awarded a five‐year grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in order to enable it to undertake research that seeks to improve the nation's public health system to prepare for and respond to catastrophic events brought about by nature, accident, or deliberate human action.
