Mrs. Foster is neurotically afraid of being late. When preparing for a trip to visit her daughter, her husband Eugene gets stuck in their home elevator. Despite hearing his cries for help, Mrs. Foster leaves for her flight so as not to be late, dooming Eugene to be trapped alone for the six weeks she is away. Upon her return, she discovers Eugene never came to meet her flight and has presumably died in the elevator during her absence.
