Pimozide is usually the first-line treatment for tics, starting at 1mg/day and increasing the dosage every 5 days. However, for our patient who exhibits frequent eye-blinking, head shaking and other tics, Clonidine or Guanfacine may be better initial treatments due to their lower risk of side effects.
