Volvo Trucks issued a service bulletin regarding front spring U-bolts for certain truck models. A new type of U-bolt was introduced in December 2003 to work with updated front axle top plates. The service bulletin instructs technicians to torque the new full-round U-bolts to 542 Nm (400 ft-lb) when installing them.
