What is L293 Motor Driver Overview and Pinout about?
The L293 is an integrated circuit that can be used to control two small DC motors simultaneously and bidirectionally. It is limited to a current of 600mA but can handle lower currents with proper heat sinking. To check if an L293 can handle a motor, run the motor while touching the chip - if it gets too hot to touch, it cannot be used for that motor.
