The study aimed to assess if high frame rate (HFR) videos of fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) improve visualization of laryngopharyngeal structures compared to standard frame rate (SFR) videos. Fifteen doctors observed HFR and SFR videos of swallowing in healthy subjects and rated structure visibility. HFR videos showed significantly better visibility of several structures just before white-out compared to SFR, demonstrating HFR FEES improves motion perception during swallowing.
