What is Understanding U.S. Food Production Regions about?

Fourth grade students will identify major food products grown in different US regions and explain reasons for their production there by researching in groups and marking a map. Students will draw and label foods on a US map and write reasons for regional production on sticky notes. The lesson allows for differentiation and assessments of student understanding and participation.
