The article discusses using UAV photogrammetry and traditional surveying techniques to inspect the Ridracoli dam in Italy. UAV photogrammetry allows rapid photographic coverage of the entire dam and adjacent land at a lower cost than traditional methods. Ground control points and terrestrial laser scanning and GPS were also used to georeference and validate the UAV model. The results showed the high accuracy of UAV photogrammetry for detailed inspection of dam structures and materials.
