Carboguard 880 is a high-solids, low VOC epoxy coating that can be used as a primer or intermediate coat. It dries quickly, can be applied to marginally prepared surfaces, and has a long recoat window. It provides corrosion resistance and excellent adhesion. Surface preparation involves cleaning and profiling steel substrates to a 40-80 micron range. The product has a 4 hour dry to handle time at 24°C and can be topcoated with various finishes within 4 hours at the same temperature.
