What is TMS320C54x Processor Architecture Overview about?

The TMS320C54x processor employs a modified Harvard architecture with separate program and data memory buses to allow simultaneous access. It has four pairs of internal buses for efficient parallel operations. The CPU contains a 40-bit ALU, two 40-bit accumulators, a 17x17-bit multiplier, barrel shifter, and other units. Special instructions enable parallel operations to fully utilize the separate memory spaces.
