What is The Bubonic Plague: A Deadly Epidemic about?

The Bubonic Plague devastated Europe in the 1330s, killing over a third of the population. People who contracted the plague developed red spots on their skin that turned black and popped, leading to death. Those infected were quarantined in houses alone until they died without Christian burials. Plague doctors wore beaked masks with smells to treat the plague, but still often succumbed to the disease. Cities were left littered with corpses until special workers also started dying from the plague.
