Can I read Error analysis of code AROSA for quantal coulomb excitation calculations on EtoBox?
Error analysis of code AROSA for quantal coulomb excitation calculations by G.H. Rawitscher; C.H. Rasmussen is a Physics and Astronomy article available to read on EtoBox.
What is Error analysis of code AROSA for quantal coulomb excitation calculations about?
The errors due to simplifying approximations in code AROSA [1] are investigated by including iteratively the terms left out. A method for calculating the first order iterates is described, and employed in the numerical computation of an example. The method involves an expansion of the product of two point coulomb amplitudes in powers of (i/r), together with the evaluation of a hypergeometric function for each term. The latter can be calculated by a continued fraction technique. This method is also useful for the computation of DWI3A coulomb excitation integrals. Inclusion of the first order iterates leads to a substantial reduction of the radii beyond which the exact and approximate (AROSA's) numerical solution of the coupled equations are terminated.
