Roro Anteng told a giant she would marry him if he could build 1000 temples in one night with the help of bad spirits. The giant built 900 temples but noisy servants tricked the bad spirits into thinking it was morning, causing them to flee. As a result, the giant was killed by a rock before finishing the temples, which came to be known as the Roro Anteng Temples.
