What is Book review about?
rami"cations of including the human aspects, the importance and e!ects of issues such as employee empowerment, along with issues of guest satisfaction. Since I teach at a University both graduate and undergraduate courses, and that is one of the stated targets, the question then is would I use the book? The answer is, `yesa if I had a class needing an overview text covering many of the issues in accommodation management which would stimulate the student to undertake more in-depth research. While, as I have noted, the chapters are not of equal value in my mind, that in itself is not a signi"cant barrier to use if students see a book as useful and stimulating. Thus stimulated they can be directed to address what a lecturer sees as `omissionsa in a text. My last comment relates to how United Kingdom-based the chapters in the book are \* I would have liked to see a much more international #avour. Putting this book in the context of the wider hospitality management literature, it is clear that the editors have attempted to develop a resource di!erent from most other books on the subject of accommodation management, and thus it has much to recommend it.
