What is History and Traditions of Christmas Trees about?

The tradition of the Christmas tree originated in Germany, where fir trees were decorated with biscuits and candies in homes. This tradition spread to Britain after Queen Victoria married Prince Albert and he introduced it to the royal family. Today, many Christian families decorate trees in their homes or gardens with lights, angels, stars and other ornaments around Christmas time. A large tree is given annually to London from France in gratitude, while New York City has a famous tree at Rockefeller Center
