This study used satellite imagery from 1985, 2010, and 2013 to detect land cover changes in El-Beheira governorate, Egypt resulting from urban expansion after the 2011 revolution. Supervised and post-classification change detection methods were used to analyze changes between urban, desert, and cultivated land classes over time.
