About this document
Moly-Bond 500: High Abrasion Steel by sushmax is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Moly-Bond 500 is a heat treated wear steel plate developed for severe wear applications requiring high abrasion resistance. Originally used for ballistics and tanks, Moly-Bond 500 combines high carbon with manganese, molybdenum, and boron to provide up to 15 times the wear resistance of ordinary steel. After heat treatment, Moly-Bond 500 has a Brinell hardness ranging from 477 to 534, with a typical hardness of 514, and abrasion resistance around 5 times that of mild steel.
