What is Air France about?

Air France is a French airline founded in 1933 that was originally state-owned. It formed an airline group in the 1990s that included subsidiaries like Air Inter and UTA. Air France struggled with liberalization of the airline industry in the early 1990s due to losing time to competitors, having image, productivity, and cost issues. It joined the Skyteam airline alliance in 2000 and fully privatized through a merger with KLM in 2004 after implementing various restructuring measures over the prior decades.
