About this document

Evolution and Adaptations of Birds by tari is a document available to read on EtoBox.

Archaeopteryx was an early bird that lived in the Late Jurassic period and provided evidence that birds evolved from dinosaurs. It had both reptilian and avian features, such as clawed wings and feathers. Over time, birds evolved many adaptations for flight, including hollow and fused bones to reduce weight, as well as strong heart and respiratory systems. While most modern bird species can fly, some have lost the ability to fly and are flightless.
