The study aimed to evaluate differences in genetic expression of periodontal ligament cells from adolescents and adults before and after applying orthodontic forces. 40 subjects aged 12-20 and 35-50 were divided into adolescent and adult groups. Periodontal ligament tissue was extracted from teeth at different time points after applying 35-50g of orthodontic force. Gene expression levels were analyzed to identify differences in cellular response to forces between age groups.
