The Grand Prix Commission unanimously decided the following changes to the MotoGP rules: 1) Private testing for MotoGP machines will be limited to a set number of tires per rider starting in 2012. 2) Manufacturers can use any rider to complete their 2011 testing through November. 3) Exceptions made for Claiming Rule Teams regarding gearbox changes and brake disc sizes and materials in 2012. 4) Minimum weights for various classes were revised.
