This study evaluates the effectiveness of combining the RECALL shared reading intervention with concept maps to enhance science comprehension in young children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Results indicated that this approach significantly improved the ability of two 5-year-old boys with ASD to answer comprehension questions related to science texts. The findings suggest that structured interventions can support reading comprehension and science learning for children with ASD.
