What is Medado about?

The Supreme Court of the Philippines resolved a petition by Michael A. Medado to sign in the Roll of Attorneys over 30 years after passing the bar exam and taking the oath. While Medado demonstrated good faith in acknowledging his mistake, the Court found that he knowingly engaged in the unauthorized practice of law after realizing he had not signed the roll. As such, the Court granted his petition subject to a one year suspension equivalent and a fine of 32,000 pesos. Medado was warned not to practice law
