CBCT vs PA Radiography for VRF Detection by girena.leon is a document available to read on EtoBox.
This systematic review and meta-analysis evaluated the diagnostic accuracy of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) compared to periapical radiography (PA) for detecting vertical root fractures (VRFs) in human teeth. The analysis included 23 studies, revealing that CBCT had a higher sensitivity (0.70) than PA radiography (0.51), while the specificity was similar for both modalities (0.84 for CBCT and 0.87 for PA). The findings suggest that while CBCT is more sensitive, both imaging techniques have comparable
