About this document
Overview of Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) by Muhammed Razeem is a document available to read on EtoBox.
Plasma arc welding (PAW) is similar to gas tungsten arc welding but uses a constricted plasma arc through a copper nozzle, reaching temperatures over 20,000 degrees Celsius. PAW allows deeper penetration than GTAW, with depths from 12 to 18 mm depending on the material. It requires more complex equipment than GTAW but can weld all metals that GTAW can weld.
