What is Single Sign-On Process Overview about?

Single Sign On – Option 2 allows users to authenticate with an identity provider and have that authentication shared with applications in the Vitality and internal networks. The process involves: 1) Users entering credentials on the SLI system, 2) Users accessing a VSP which generates a SAML request, 3) The request is sent to an IDP proxy for authentication and assertion generation, 4) The assertion is sent back to the VSP to establish an authenticated session without re-prompting for credentials.
