About this document

Air Pollution Impact on Exercise Inhalation by Yoav is a document available to read on EtoBox.

This study estimated the inhaled dose of air pollutants during simulated exercise in the cleanest and dirtiest cities according to WHO data. Results showed that PM10 and PM2.5 levels in the dirtiest cities were approximately 47 times higher than in the cleanest, leading to significantly higher inhalation rates during exercise. The findings suggest that exercising in heavily polluted areas may negate the health benefits of aerobic exercise, with risks increasing after just 15 minutes of activity.
