This paper proposes a framework for developing collaborative extended reality applications. It studies collaborative object manipulation in VR and validates interaction features through a prototype. User tests showed they enjoyed collaborating. An AR prototype also allowed VR and AR users to interact in real-time in a shared virtual environment, showing the framework enables mixed reality application development.
