This study investigates the predictive value of implant removal time and acromion-hook angle on subacromial osteolysis after hook plate fixation for acromioclavicular dislocation. It found that both factors are significant risk indicators, with optimal cut-off values of 5.5 months for implant removal and 10° for acromion-hook angle to predict osteolysis occurrence, and 11.9 months and 16° for severity. The acromion-hook angle was identified as the only independent risk factor in multivariate analysis.
