What is Goshen Farm Celebrated in Preservation Event about?
George Schuster owns a 51-acre farm in Goshen, Connecticut that has been farmed since the late 1700s. In 1990, Schuster conveyed the development rights of the farm to the state under the Farmland Preservation Program to ensure it remained in agricultural use. The farm is one of 300 that have been preserved through this program. On September 20th, the state will hold a celebration on the Lebanon Green to commemorate reaching this milestone of 300 preserved farms and invite the families who participated. The
